In the early 1990's, a company in Portland, Oregon named Firebird Arts was doing product tie-ins with Mercedes Lackey merchandise. The owner of Firebird had a connection to Misty Lackey and started putting out cd's based on the Heroes of Valdemar series.
I was commissioned by Firebird to adapt three songs written by Misty for the album, and was hired to write the music and perform as Queen Selenay on the album Lovers, Lore, and Loss.
I wrote the music for and did the arrangements for Cost of the Crown, Battle Dawn, and Trio.
Steve Einhorn played guitar/bodhran for me and sand sang on Trio, and Cecilia Eng sang on Trio as well.
